Status
Luxembourg's official portal says Crémant de Luxembourg has existed as an appellation "since 1991".2 The UK register of protected names cites the legal basis as the government regulation of 4 January 1991 and records the name as registered in the UK scheme on 10 March 2021.1 The text of the 1991 regulation itself could not be opened during research.

Labelling
The corks bear the words "Crémant de Luxembourg". A rectangular back label reads "Marque Nationale, Appellation contrôlée Crémant de Luxembourg" and is issued under state control.2
Compared with the French Crémants
The pressing limit of 100 litres per 150 kg and the 4 atmosphere minimum are the same figures as in Crémant d'Alsace.1,4 Unlike the French appellations, Crémant de Luxembourg is controlled under the Luxembourg Marque Nationale.2
