French · growers' company

SR (société de récoltants) is the label code for a company formed by growers, often from one family, who pool resources to sell under a shared label.1

A note on sources

This definition comes from the Union des Maisons de Champagne. The DGCCRF guide and the Comité Champagne label factsheet reviewed for this library do not list SR, so the code is described here from one source only.

The word récoltant in the name marks a business of growers, as in RM and RC.2
